Our Primary English Programmes
Our syllabus is divided into two developmental phases to ensure a seamless transition from foundational literacy to advanced level.
Lower Primary English – Primary 1 to 3
Our Lower Primary English Programme is designed to bridge the gap from preschool to primary school by focusing on the Strategies for English Language Learning and Reading (STELLAR) approach. This ensures students master fundamental grammar rules, phonics-based spelling, and sentence structure. Through purposeful play and literature-based learning, we prepare young learners for assessments, specifically targeting skills ranging from confidence in Show-and-Tell to structured narrative writing.
Upper Primary English – Primary 4 to 6
Our Upper Primary English Programme prepares students thoroughly for the PSLE. Students learn advanced writing techniques for Paper 1 (Situational and Continuous Writing) using the “Draw and Label” framework. For Paper 2 (Language Use and Comprehension), we focus on key components such as Synthesis and Transformation, Comprehension Cloze, and open-ended comprehension strategies. Our P6 PSLE Intensive modules also include Stimulus-Based Conversation practice using the PEEL structure to strengthen oral fluency.
